Abstract / Introduction

In the digital era, having an online school management system accessible via a web application is essential. This web-based platform will allow students, teachers, and administrators to efficiently manage and monitor academic progress, attendance, and other school-related activities conveniently.

Through this web application, students will be able to view their profiles, attendance records, class schedules, syllabus, homework/assignments, results, exam schedules, fee vouchers/status, feedback, school transport details, and important school announcements.

The web application will also facilitate notifications from the school to students and teachers, ensuring effective communication. This system will bridge the gap between students, teachers, and school administration, ultimately enhancing educational experiences.

Functional Requirements:

Students will be able to:

·         Check their attendance records, including present, absent, leave, and holiday counts.

·         Access report cards to monitor academic progress throughout the term.

·         View fee vouchers and payment history.

·         Submit leave applications online.

·         Access the daily diary for classwork, homework, and assignments.

·         View class schedules and syllabus.

·         Access transport details, including bus driver information.

·         View/update their profiles.

·         Provide feedback and reviews to teachers and administration.

·         Receive feedback and responses from the school.

·         Stay updated on school announcements, events, and important notices through web notifications.

·         Communicate with teachers for academic support and queries.

·         Upload and submit assignments online.

Teachers will be able to:

·         Mark student attendance and update records in real time.

·         Upload and manage homework, assignments, and study material.

·         Enter and update student grades and report cards.

·         Manage class schedules and syllabus.

·         Provide feedback and respond to students' queries.

·         View and manage student leave applications.

·         Send announcements, notifications, and updates to students.

·         Conduct and manage online quizzes and assessments.

·         Communicate with students via the system.

Admin will be able to:

·         Manage user accounts (students and teachers).

·         Oversee and update student records, attendance, and academic data.

·         Generate and manage fee vouchers and payment records.

·         Monitor feedback and communication between students and teachers.

·         Handle school transport details and driver information.

·         Manage school events, announcements, and notifications.

·         Generate reports on student performance, attendance, and financial records.

·         Assign classes, subjects, and schedules to teachers.

·         Manage the admission process, including student registration and enrolment.
