In the agricultural sector, maintaining accurate and efficient records of variety of seeds and its usage

is crucial for productivity and sustainability in the agriculture sector. The "Online Portal for Tracking Seeds Record for Cultivation" is a web-based application designed to streamline seed record management, enhance transparency, and improve efficiency in agriculture sector of Pakistan. This project aims to replace traditional paper-based or spreadsheet-based record-keeping systems with a centralized, digital solution that offers real-time tracking and management of seed-related data.

The system allows users to visit the site online, search different category of seeds and its detail, select the required seed and place order to purchase. It provides access control features to ensure different stakeholders or agents—such as farmers, agricultural firms, and researchers to upload the variety of seeds with its full detail.

One of the core features of the platform is seed traceability, which helps users track the origin and performance of seeds in different climatic and soil conditions. This enhances decision-making regarding seed selection and cultivation practices. Additionally, the system supports analytical dashboards, enabling users to visualize trends and make data-driven decisions for better yield management.

The platform is designed with a user-friendly interface that is accessible via web and mobile devices, ensuring ease of use even for individuals with limited technical expertise.

Functional Requirements:

End-User:

Ø  The end-user visits the seeds web portal through domain name.

Ø  The user searches the different categories of seeds.

Ø  The user searches the required seeds with its full detail.

Ø  The user can search the seed agent (farmer, Researcher or firm) profile

Ø  The user can place the order to buy/sell the seeds

Ø  The user can manage transaction and payment processing

Seed Agent:

Ø  The seed agent will register to the portal first by providing the requisite information on form

Ø  After Admin approval, the agent can login and upload the seed detail to the portal after authentication

Ø  Provide relevant contact information

Ø  Provide online payment methods

Admin:

Ø  The Admin will login to the system

Ø  The Admin will grant approval to the registered farmers, Researchers, Agriculture centers

Ø  The Admin will provide user name and password to the farmers, Researchers and Agriculture Centers or firms.

Ø  The Admin will provide analytical dashboard for making better decisions
