Abstract / Introduction

The importance of pharmacies cannot be ignored considering the current scenario as it is a very important part of our daily life needs. An online pharmacy management system (OPMS) is a digital platform designed to automate and streamline various pharmacy operations, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and safety in medication management. This application system will help users to facilitate the purchase of medicines online. This system will enable users to browse, search, and order medicines, while the admin can manage stock, orders, and customer interactions. Our application will provide a convenient platform for purchasing medicines, manage stock and order efficiently, ensure user authentication and transaction handling and generate reports for analysis and improvements.

Functional Requirements:

1.      Users will be able to register at the application

2.      Users will be able to login

3.      Users must be able to verify their email and reset passwords.

4.      Users can search and filter medicines based on category, name, or price.

5.      Users can add, update, or remove medicines from their cart before checkout.

6.      Users can place orders and receive confirmation via email.

7.      Users should track orders and receive notifications for status updates.

8.      Administrator will be able to login to the application

9.      Administrator can add, update, or delete medicine details.

10. Administrator should view orders, manage inventory, and generate reports.

11. The administrator will be able to generate detailed sales and stock reports.

12. Administrator will be able to create different catalogue of the drugs and medicines.

13. Administrator will be able to enter details about the medicines such as name, formula, expiry date and price etc.

14. Administrator will be able to receive the drugs and medicines that are short in the store.

15. Administrator will be able approve an order.
